South Jakarta Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) again took action against sellers of illegal alcoholic beverages of various brands in a control operation held during Ramadan month.

Head of South Jakarta Satpol PP, Nanto Dwi Subekti said this operation was carried out to control the circulation of illegal liquor and to maintain public order during Ramadan.

Nanto explained that in a joint operation with the army, police, and related elements in the Tebet District area, officers secured 231 bottles of liquor from a number of locations.
"We successfully confiscated liquor from a number of herbal medicine shops on Jalan Sunan Kalijaga, Melawai Urban Village, and on Jalan Kubis, Pulo Urban Village, Kebayoran Baru District," he explained.
In addition to confiscating and collecting data, the party also asked shop owners to make a written statement stating that they would not sell alcoholic beverages again without a permit.
Nanto emphasized that the South Jakarta Satpol PP will continue to conduct regular monitoring to ensure that business actors comply with applicable regulations.
